Renault’s Logan budget sedan will no longer be sold in South Africa.

The Logan, which was produced by Dacia in Romania for our market, was built in a partnership with Indian brand Mahindra but a recent termination of the joint venture means that right-hand drive Logans are no longer being made. A replacement model is planned for late 2013, but Renault SA cannot yet confirm if it will be sold here.

There are still new Logans available from Renault dealers at R125 000 as run-out stock. The Logan’s hatchback sibling the Sandero, and the Nissan NP200 bakkie which shares its chassis, are still being manufactured and sold in South Africa. - Star Motoring
