After going all controversial with the butt-shaking second generation and then swinging back to almost-bland sensibility with the third one, Renault appears to have found a happier balance with its all-new, fourth-generation Megane.

As we expected it has a shapely body inspired by the latest Clio, complete with sculpted shoulders that lend a coupé-like style. The front end shares some of its design cues with the new Talisman saloon, including C-shaped headlights with a lower section that cuts into the bumper like a claw.

A GT version, as per the blue car, will be available from the outset, and set apart by 18-inch alloys, Dark Metal exterior garnishes, a bolder bumper and honeycomb grille, while the paint selection will include the Iron Blue hue.

According to Renault SA, the new Megane is likely to reach our shores during the second quarter of 2016.
