Renault and Red Bull are celebrating their third Formula 1 Constructors' world title with this limited-edition Mégane Renaultsport Red Bull Racing RB8, finished in Red Bull's signature dark blue with platinum grey detailing.

Special kit includes Red Bull badges on the sides and the tailgate, and platinum grey F1 blade, door handles, door-mirror housings and rear lip spoiler, as well as a monochrome laurel on the rear side windows to commemorate the team's 2012 Constructors' world title.

Inside, there are Red Bull logos on the numbered aluminium door sills and carpet mats, and on the head restraints of the Recaro seats, which are upholstered in a special mixed leather and fabric trim.

The RB8 runs on special 19" black Steev rims with platinum rims, shod with the same Bridgestone tyres that helped the Mégane Renaultsport 265 Trophy set a new front-wheel drive lap record at the Nürburgring.

R-LINK

This limited edition version is also the first Mégane Renaultsport model with a built-in R-Link multimedia tablet. The system's six functions - navigation, telephony, multimedia, vehicle, systems and R-Link apps catalogue - are controlled using either the touch screen display, voice command or the joystick on the centre console.

It also has the second-generation Renaultsport Monitor with built-in TomTom Live navigation, a new, more user-friendly and intuitive touchscreen layout, GPS-tracked lap timing, 3D graphics, a USB port for saving data to a flash drive - plus real-time access to power output data, 0-100km/h times and G-force diagrams

The running gear is the same as the Mégane Renaultsport 265 Cup, including stiffer springs, dampers, anti-roll bar, limited-slip differential, grooved discs with Brembo callipers and, of course, the 195kW version of Renault's two-litre turbo four.

The RB8 will be released in South Africa in the fourth quarter of this year. Prices, as always, when they get here.
