Alonso on pole at Silverstone

Silverstone, England – Fernando Alonso will start Sunday's British Grand Prix in pole position for Ferrari.

The Spaniard, who currently leads the drivers standings, will be joined on the first grid by Red Bull's Marc Webber.

It will be Alonso's first start on pole since the 2010 Singapore Grand Prix.

The starting grid for Sunday's Grand Prix:

1st row: Fernando Alonso (ESP/Ferrari), Mark Webber (AUS/Red Bull-Renault)

2nd row: Michael Schumacher (GER/Mercedes-AMG), Sebastian Vettel (GER/Red Bull-Renault)
