We’ve heard of incentive programmes, but this one really takes the cookie.

When police raided a massage parlour in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, recently they found that some of the customers were paying the ladies for sex – not with money, but with reward cards issued by a local car wash.

And this is how it worked, according to police officer Emmi Shah Fadhil: “To get the extra offer, customers had to send their cars for washing nine times within a certain period.”

“The 10th car wash entitled them to free sex.”

Fadhil and his squad nabbed four men, who were apparently running the house of horizontal refreshment, as well as nine Vietnamese ladies, who were believed to be providing the aforementioned rewards.

In a similar case nearly 80 years ago, customers at a brothel in Fayette County, Texas were allowed to pay with chickens during the depression when cash was scarce.

That promotion was so successful that the place became known as the Chicken Ranch, a name it kept until it was closed in 1973.
