Jeremy Clarkson has admitted that he and his team are having a tough time coming up with a name for their new Amazon Prime car show.

The former Top Gear presenter, who was fired after allegedly punching a producer, wrote in a recent Sunday Times column that the hardest part of creating his new show is actually finding a name for it.

Earlier there had been speculation that the new show, to be co-presented by his previous partners in crime Richard Hammond and James May, might be called 'Gear Knobs', which would seem like a joke were it suggested for any other show, but even if the trio did want to take a dig at their previous employers even that would not be allowed - Clarkson recently Tweeted that for "legal reasons" the word "gear" cannot be in their title.

The real problem is that every name they seem to come up with seems to already be in use by someone else, as Jeremy explained in his column:

"Every morning I'd make a £7000 (R14 665) call to the lawyer with an idea, and every afternoon I'd get a £7000 reply saying the name was already in use by someone in New Zealand, or France or Ukraine. Prime Torque. Autonation. Skid mark. Everything was a no-no."

One of his directors even jokingly suggested "Three C*#$* Driving Along".

While the name remains a problem, it appears that preparations for the new show are well underway, with the crew having been spotted in numerous exotic locations around the world, including Barbados and Marrakesh.
