Crystal Cloud is blingest Rolls yetComment on this story
As if owning a Rolls-Royce were not ostentatious enough, here's one that's been completely covered with Swarovski crystals, making it the most bling-bling vehicle ever made built.
It took Munich jeweller Edgar M more than three years to cover this 1962 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II with more than a million individually cut Swarovski crystals.
This astonishing car - which is on display at the Four Seasons Hotel in Munich and looks rather like a wheeled disco ball - will be auctioned to raise money for the charity “Help in Motion”, which works with recovering drug addicts.
The lucky bidder should, however, avoid parking in dimly lit car parks and opt for a safer place instead - such as the vault of a high-security bank.
The Silver Cloud, built in three series from 1953 to 1966, was the last Rolls-Royce with a separate chassis. The series II, introduced in 1959, was the first to be fitted with the L410 six-and-a-quarter litre V8 engine, which is still current, 53 years later, in the Bentley Mulsanne!
In 1962 spec, it could propel the 2110kg Silver Cloud limousine to 187km/h in almost absolute silence. - Daily Mail
The video is in German, but it's worth watching for the stunning visuals.
