Given that most men's minds revolve around cars and sex (not necessarily in that order), it must be one of the great male fantasies of all time - to have sex while you're driving.
And, after apparently putting away most of a bottle of vodka between them, that seemed like a good idea at the time to Luis Briones and his girlfriend of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
So they climbed into his Ford Explorer and were seen doing the nasty while cruising the city's streets - and it wasn't long before they'd picked up an escort, in the shape of a police cruiser who'd spotted the Explorer driving erratically with what appeared to be two people in the driver's seat.
At which point everything went pear-shaped; Briones allegedly jumped a red light in downtown Albuquerque and ran into another vehicle with enough force to throw his lady friend, stark naked, out of the car and on to the road with deep cuts on her face and head.
Neither of them, it appears, was wearing a seat belt.
Our hero then threw all notions of chivalry to the winds and alleged tried to drive away, at which point a (very brave) witness reached in and took the keys out of the Explorer's ignition - which left Briones with no option but to take to his heels, wearing only one shoe and his shorts - inside out.
The cops finally found him a block away hiding in a patch of cactus, but even then the drama wasn't over as he allegedly resisted arrest, spat and swore at police and paramedics and, when he was finally bundled into the back of the cruiser, refused to keep his pants on.
AT LEAST EIGHT CHARGES
Paramedics patched up the young lady on the scene and she was taken to hospital in a stable condition. Briones, however, faces at least eight charges, ranging from aggravated DWI to reckless driving, running a red light, possessing an open container and evading police, among others.
Pity there's no statute in New Mexico law against being a sleazebag.
