The boys are coming under fire for their colourful language.
The BBC has promised to curb bad language in its programmes, but it seems that Top Gear is exempt.
The popular show is broadcast at 8pm in the UK - an hour before the watershed - and is now widely regarded as family entertainment rather than a car show for ‘lads’.
But on the most recent show, one guest used the word b******s and the word t***** was sprayed across a car.
In another segment, the F-word had to be bleeped out seven times in five minutes, while the word s*** was censored so badly it was clear what was being said.
Irate viewers took to Twitter to question why such language was necessary. One said: “Come on BBC! Why so much swearing in a family show?”
Another said: “Some words are bleeped out but others aren’t. Younger viewers may be watching so either screen it after 9pm or cut out the swearing.”
The corporation said it would cut back on offensive language in 2009 after a survey of more than 2000 viewers found that even young people were concerned about its proliferation.
Most of the expletives in Sunday’s Top Gear were during a sketch in which hosts Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond attempted to choreograph a car chase in the style of 1970s police drama The Sweeney.
A BBC spokesman declined to comment.

I like the show, they are not stereotype typa sho , i remember whatchin their show around the SADC region i like it , they can swear for all i care.

Top Gear is a brilliant show. Enough said. Swearing and cursing at people is all part of British Humour. Stop being sensitive like females.If you dont understand the humour..DO NOT WATCH!!

In 2012 is this really an issue? I mean really? I remember kids using far worse language than this back when I was in junior school in the 80s - so where did we get them from. Parents, do your f***ing jobs and stop bleating!

First of all I'm a big fan of Top Gear and secondly I like it the way it is, so leave them alone. Complain about something like the “u-fart” ringtone advertising if you have to b*tch about something.

The reason the show is so popular is because it is reasonably "colourful". Take this element out and you are left with just another boring motor programme. If I have to choose between the two I'd take the risqué language over the sanitised version any day. One could consider imposing an age restriction on viewers, and the simple answer to those who remain offended, is that they should switch to another channel.

I am disgusted at the amount of time the big idot uses OH MY GOD hope he has a good relationship with God althought I do think his conscience does not bother him and being in the public he sets a very bad roll model if you want to know why all the bullying and bad maners in schools look no futher as problems with todays society is not the big things but a thousand small thing and it starts with people in public who think they great but actually just bad example that kids tend to follow because they supposed to be (cool)I have stopped watchind this program and so aslo my family .

@Paul... if you don't like the show, don't watch it. Problem solved, stop whining China. Clarkson & Co have a winning formula, the BBC won't fix something that works perfectly.
