Gauteng drivers can expect traffic chaos this morning due to a protest against e-tolls organised by Cosatu.

Hundreds of people are expected to take part in the protest, which will see cars driving slowly on different part of the N14, R21 and N1.

The drive-slow protest is expected to start at 7.30am from the old Putco bus depot in Marabastad, and move along Struben, Sisulu and Francis Baard streets.

According to Cosatu, the motorcade leading the protest will drive along Francis Baard street to the N4, to the N1 off-ramp and move onto the N1 towards Johannesburg.

It will then turn off at the R21 off-ramp and proceed on the R21 towards Johannesburg before taking the Nellmapius offramp.

The motorcade will drive back onto the R21 towards Pretoria, where it will proceed towards Fountains Circle, into Nelson Mandela Drive and into Lilian Ngoyi Street, northbound.

It will turn left into Johannes Ramokhoase Street and return to the old Putco bus depot in Marabastad.

Drivers are advised to avoid these routes. – Pretoria News
