Dubai, United Arab Emirates - This mid-engined berlinetta with its rather fragmented, quintessentially Italian styling actually lays claim to being the first Arabian supercar to go into (very limited!) production.

The Fenyr SuperSport is the latest creation of Dubai-based W Motors, following on its 2013 Lykan, which was featured flying from one skyscraper to another in Fast and Furious7. The company plans to make just 25 a year, at $1.85 million (R26.5 million) each ex factory.

Styled by TorinoStudio of Rivoli, west of Turin, the Fenyr's carbon-fibre body is mounted on a tubular-aluminium chassis by Magna Steyr Italia, also in Rivoli.

Under the rear deck there's a bespoke four-litre twin-turbo flat six from Porsche specialist Ruf Automobile in Pfaffenhausen, Germany that's rated at 665kW and 1200Nm, driving the rear wheels via a seven-speed double-clutch transmission.

According to the maker, that's good enough for a 0-100 take-off in less than 2.7 seconds and a top speed of more than 400km/h.
