Renowned German tuner AC Schnitzer has worked its black magic on the new BMW 4 Series coupé.

Headlining the wide range of mods on offer is an upgrade on the 3-litre TwinPower straight-six petrol engine fitted to the 435i, which bumps up the power output from 225kW to 265kW.

Those on smaller budgets can still opt for a four-cylinder 428i, beefed up to the tune of 216kW (up from 180kW) or a 420d with an output of 160kW, from 135kW.

AC Schnitzer has not gone into detail about what the engine upgrades entail, but there is plenty of other technical excitement to divulge, from a height adjustable racing suspension to an AC Schnitzer spring kit that lowers the car by 25mm.

Another highlight is the AC Schnitzer sports rear silencer with two chromed 'racing' tail trims.

Clients can also choose between a wide range of bespoke alloy wheel designs, with diameters ranging from 18-inch to 20-inch.
