Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy - This is Lamborghini's teaser video for the racing version of the Huracan - the Super Trofeo, which will replace the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo as the standard issue for the Blancpain Super Trofeo one-make series from next year.

In deference to the gentlemen racers who have already spent a fortune on a Gallardo Super Trofeo, however, the older cars will still be allowed to run in a separate class.

TRACK ONLY

The new racer (which, we must point out, is not street-legal) has the same 448kW 5.2-litre V10 as the road car, but has been stripped of all cabin fittings other than a full roll-cage and one-piece racing seat, and wears seriously flared and vented wheel arches over special competition rims shod with slicks, an oversize rear wing and a carbon-fibre front splitter.
