With less than a month to go before 'G-Day' McLaren has confirmed that a production-ready prototype of the new P1 supercar will be ready in time to make its world debut at the 83rd Geneva motor show on Tuesday 5 March.

And just to whet your appetite, they've also revealed the first visuals of the as-yet-unseen interior. The P1 will have a race-inspired digital dash readout, and the video gives us some idea of the level of performance customers can expect when they punch 'Race' mode.

It shows what the driver will see as the tranforms into a fully-focussed track car. The large, double-element adjustable 'active' rear wing extends, and its pitch alters to an optimal aerodynamic position. In Race mode the screen includes a bank of shift lights across the top, which shine green, then red and finally blue, as in a Formula 1 car.
