Aston Martin describes the new Vulcan as the "most intense and exhilarating" car that it has ever created, but you won't be seeing one on a street near you.

Although Aston Martin will be building 24 of them, this is a track-only supercar, albeit one that comes with a rather alluring ownership programme.

Sign up for one of these and Aston Martin will not only help hone your track skills with expert tuition from renowned racers such as Le Mans-winning Darren Turner, but the firm will also tailor the car to your capabilities and requirements.

With a body and monocoque made from carbon fibre and a 7-litre normally aspirated V12 that pushes more than 600kW, the Vulcan actually boasts a superior power to weight ratio than the GTE cars in the World Endurance Championship.

The front-mid-mounted engine shoves its urge to the back wheels through a rear-mid-mounted six-speed sequential gearbox, and aiming to keep it all under control is a track-derived pushrod suspension with anti-dive geometry and DSSV adjustable dampers. The driver can also adjust the traction control and ABS braking system.

Yet before hitting the track day scene with a bang, the Vulcan will make its 'static' world debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
