Is Bugatti aiming at the Ring record?

Watch the first test of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport at the Nurburgring. Is this the first step towards an attempt on the Radical SR8LM ultimate lap record of 6min48? Nobody is saying but the 882kW, 415km/h Super Sport could just be the car to do it.
