Knysna - The 2016 Jaguar Simola Hillclimb is set to roar into action this weekend, and will transform the quaint town of Knsyna into a motorsport paradise.

More than 60 cars will be contesting Classic Car Friday, with 84 entries for King of the Hill and the all-new SuperCar Shootout, which takes place on the Saturday and Sunday.

Aside from the action on the 1.9km Hillclimb course, visitors have access to Gasoline Alley that hosts a variety of motoring-themed merchandise stores, food vendors, a children’s play area, interactive games and a variety of fabulous cars on display.

Helicopter flights are also on offer, providing a breathtaking aerial view of the Jaguar Simola Hillclimb course, as well as the beautiful surrounding scenery, including the Knysna Quays and lagoon.

A shuttle service will operate from the Knysna Waterfront to the Jaguar Simola Hillclimb throughout all three days to facilitate easier parking and hassle-free access to the event.

In total, almost 400 runs are scheduled to be completed by the classic cars on the Friday, ensuring plenty of excitement throughout the day.
