Not even a fire can stop Ken Block

Block did not stop until the car's ECU display melted and the engine shut down.

Eat your heart out, Chuck Norris; gymkhana king Ken Block is now officially the coolest thing on wheels.

The in-car footage below was shot during a rallycross event at the recent SEMA show in Las Vegas, after Block had qualified his heavily modified Ford Fiesta on pole, won both of his heats and was leading the final.

Just one lap into the race, the air inside the car gets a little hazy; after two laps there's smoke billowing up from around the shifter and by lap five there are flames licking up around the centre console - but Block doesn't stop until the car's ECU display melts and the engine shuts down.

There was a race to be won, after all.
