Attention supercar owners, here’s something to diarise for later on in the year. It’s called the Rogue Rally, and according to the organisers it will be a 2500km road trip, from June 16 to 22, along South Africa’s best roads.
To satisfy your need for speed there will be special stages and events, which will include tracks, slaloms, drifts, stopwatches, apexes, high-speed runs on Hakskeen pan and even a closed mountain stage.
Entry costs R47 500, a supercar is mandatory, and we’ve been told that of the 50 spaces available over half have been snapped up already.
Entries so far include a Ferrari Scaglietti 612, two McLaren MP4-12Cs, a special edition Nissan GT-R, an Aston Martin Vanquish, a Mercedes-Benz SLS, a Lamborghini Aventador, a Ford Shelby GT500 and a Porsche 911 Turbo.
