Portland, Oregon - Tanner Foust is best known in South Africa as one of the hosts on the American version of Top Gear, but he’s also a top stunt driver, X Games gold medallist (nine times!) and a World RallyCross competitor.
In fact, we’re looking forward to seeing him in action at the Killarney circuit near Cape Town in the final round of the 2017 World RallyCross series in November.
But for this hair-raising footage - including one very near-disaster - he takes his 410kW all-wheel drive Andretti RallyCross Beetle flat out out on a section of public road (closed for the occasion) somewhere near Portland. Sit back, get a grip and remember, this is not a video game you are watching. This is as real as it gets. Respect.
