Salon Privé, now in its eighth year, is Britain's most prestigious luxury supercar show and Concours d'Elegance. It's held in grounds of stately Syon Park in West London on the first Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of September each year and attracts the cream of British classic cars, historic racers and exotic supercars.

More than 100 vintage and classic cars, with an estimated collective value of £65 million (about R1 billion), each polished to within an inch of its life, were entered for the Concours d'Elegance on Wednesday. Here's our pick of the finest vehicles on display, starting with the winner of “Best in Show” - Sarah Allen's immaculate 1959 Ferrari 250 long-wheelbase California Spider.
