I have a dashcam in my car and have provided the videos to other people involved in accidents which have been captured on my dashcam and it has in two of the cases been invaluable to them (call me judgmental but the video goes to the innocent party cause is all cases the idiot at fault denies any wrong doing!) Also when the Metro cop see the cam they don't ask for a bribe :)

No anonymous the law does not talk about a fast lane. It does very clearly state that you should keep left and past right. Someone was even fined recently for not moving out the waywhen the driver flashed lights from behind. So in short if you are slow f-off out the fast lane. You are not the law, you dont need to teach people to drive slow.

There is no such thing as the fast lane -_- There is the far left lane and far right. Please show any sort of legal reference to a "fast lane".

What tailgater? The following distance seems kind of reasonable. There is no reason for road rage here. I suspect the the car in front had a mechanical failure, seized bearing, gearbox, or something.

it's a culture of right vs wrong. some people feel that they are right and they know the law , so they decide to make themselves public police and take the law into their hands. we need to stop this behaviour.

Get off my back writes "There is no reason for someone to sit on your back like this. It happens to me so many times on the road that I can almost look into the eyes of the person driving behind me. No matter that there is no where for me to go to get out of his way or let him pass. No. The guy behind is definitely to blame. "tailgating"? Ha ha ha anyone who thinks this guy was tailgating has never driven in JHB. It also looks like the poor "tailgater" go hit harder than the idiot in front, too much home made vodka.

Clearly the tailgater (and the stupid idiot who crashed into them both) don't know how to drive and can't keep their eyes on what is happening on the road, and should have their licenses revoked.

It is becoming popular to have a camera mounted in to your car as a safety precaution. That way if someone behaves like this chap in the Infiniti, it is no longer simply your word against his.

Chris I believe in some countries people install dash cams in private vehicles to capture such incidents. It's not law, but I think some people get them as insurance back-up or prove their innocence during an accident.
