Federal prosecutors say they've arrested three German citizens on suspicion of membership in a militia of mostly ethnic Hutus from Rwanda involved in killing Congolese civilians.
Bernard T., 49, Felicien B., 43, and Jean Bosco U., 66, are accused of membership in a terrorist organization, the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda - known by its French acronym FDLR. Prosecutors didn't release their last names Thursday in accordance with German privacy laws.
The three are suspected of forming a German cell of the FDLR in 2011 that took over propaganda operations for the group after the 2009 arrests of two high-ranking FDLR members in Germany and a third in 2010 in France.
A further 11 people are under investigation for supporting the organization in Germany. - Sapa-AP
