Dar es Salaam - Seven people were killed and 54 others were injured on Wednesday when the bus they were travelling in overturned after a tyre burst in Tanzania's north-western region of Tabora, said police.
“The bus was travelling from Tabora to the northern town of Arusha,” Tabora Regional Police Commander Anthony Rutta told reporters by telephone.
He said five people died at the scene and another two later in hospital. - Sapa-AFP
