The affordable education loan option
Rabat, Morocco -
Morocco's prosecutor has ordered police to arrest the editor of a news website for posting a video by al-Qaeda in North Africa criticising the kingdom.
Tuesday's statement by the prosecutor said the video was a clear call to commit terrorist acts in Morocco.
Ali Anouzla runs the news site Lakome.com, known for its trenchant criticism of the government similar to that of the secular February 20 movement that protested for greater democracy during the Arab Spring.
The video was issued by al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb's Andalus media arm on Thursday. Lakome's Arabic and French sites wrote about it at the weekend.
The video accuses Morocco and its king of being corrupt and oppressive and calls youth to jihad. - Sapa-AP
