Algiers -

French President Francois Hollande said on Thursday in Algiers that he recognises the “suffering” inflicted on the Algerian people during French colonial rule.

“I recognise the suffering that colonialism inflicted on the Algerian people,” Hollande told the Algerian parliament on the second and final day of a landmark visit to the North African country. - Sapa-AFP
