Cairo -

A new trial for the sons of former president Hosny Mubarak will begin on July 09, 2012, over charges of manipulating stocks to make gains, judicial sources said Tuesday.

Alaa and Gamal Mubarak, who are being held in prison pending trial, were acquitted from another case on corruption and influence peddling along their 84-year-old father this month.

Hosny Mubarak, however, is serving a life sentence after a court found him guilty of complicity in the killing of peaceful protesters during the 2011 popular uprising that ejected him from power.

He is currently in a prison hospital, and officials say his health has been deteriorating. - Sapa-dpa
