Johannesburg -

South Africa will host the Southern African Development Community (SADC) meeting on Ebola, the Health Department said on Wednesday.

The meeting would be held on Wednesday to deliberate on the state of readiness and develop an approach in response to the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, said spokesman Joe Maila.

“The meeting will bring together ministers of health and key stakeholders to build a consensus on appropriate strategic actions to prevent the spread of the ongoing Ebola outbreak.”

The National Institute for Communicable Diseases and the World Health Organisation would also be part of the meeting. - Sapa
