Johannesburg - The SA Airways reinstated flights to Blantyre, Malawi, on Wednesday.

“SAA will be resuming three flights per week between Johannesburg and Blantyre from today (Wednesday) as per the normal schedule,” said spokesman Tlali Tlali in a statement.

One of the flights was operated on a supplementary basis.

The flights had been temporarily paused because an airport in Blantyre was closed due to urgent runway repairs and maintenance, said Tlali.
