Four Russian crew members died when their United Nations helicopter crashed in the Democratic Republic of Congo, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
The four were on board a UN civilian aircraft, which went down on Friday in the east of the vast central African nation.
The UN peacekeeping mission in Congo, known as MONUSCO, said an investigation into the crash in South Kivu Province was underway.
Due to the lack of infrastructure and poor weather conditions, a rescue team only reached the crash site on Tuesday. - Sapa-dpa
