A passenger was thrown off a flight after noisily objecting to the pilot being a woman.

Just before take-off, he stood up and shouted: “Someone should have told me the captain was a woman.

“I’m not flying with a female at the controls.”

Police were called to the domestic flight from the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte and, as other passengers booed him, led the man away. The flight was delayed by an hour.

Pilots’ union spokesman Gelson Fochesato said: ‘It’s the first time I’ve heard of something like this happening. This man had obviously just arrived from Mars and wanted to become a pioneer.’

Trip Airline declined to name the man to spare him embarrassment. - Daily Mail
