Grenoble, France - Disgruntled Grenoble backrow forward Jonathan Best has put himself up for sale on an online French advertising site.

"Professional rugby player, from new, seeks Top 14/Pro D2 club," Best posted alongside a photo of himself.

In a tongue-in-cheek ad penned in the third person and displayed on his Twitter account, but quickly taken down from leboncoin.fr, Best said: "All checks have been done, MOT is okay.

"No longer runs as fast as first years, but maintains an endurance and optimal perseverance.

"Unbeatable quality/price ratio, kept in the warm in the garage for more than a year... Could be free straight away if agreement with current garage, or available from next July!

"Doesn't consume too much salary but knows how to consume his opponents," said Best, who has been a contributor to satirical rugby website boucherie-ovalie.org.

Best, 33, has been with Grenoble since 2005, but he has been little used since returning from a serious shoulder injury in 2014.

Grenoble sit 13th in the Top 14, with just two wins from 10 games, and are gripped by financial problems off the field.
