First lady Nompumelelo Ntuli-Zuma is “pained” by claims on Facebook that she cuckolded President Jacob Zuma and that he is not the father of her child.
“What is also very painful is that I do not know how I am going to stop these postings. I see it as abusing of my name by people I do not know,” she told The Mercury’s sister newspaper Isolezwe.
MaNtuli suggested that this was the work of people who hated her, and she dismissed the allegations that she was unfaithul to the president, saying these were lies. The Presidency yesterday declined to comment. The first lady also did not respond to The Mercury’s query on what steps she planned to take to stop the postings.
On newspaper claims last year that she had been impregnated by a bodyguard, Phinda Thoma, who later committed suicide, she told Isolewzwe: “How a bodyguard could make a move on the president’s wife who is also a mother to him? I have never slept with a bodyguard.” She said all was well between herself and the president.
“My child resembles the president. That is why I do not concern myself a lot about all these things that are said about me because I know where they come from,” she said.
The Mercury reported in August last year that MaNtuli had given birth to Manqoba Kholwani (Believe It) Zuma in Durban, the president’s 21st child. The November Facebook posting by a Kenyan freelance journalist, John Masunga, alleges that a man called Ongolo Endekele Steven, and not Thomo, as reported by Ilanga newspaper, had an affair with MaNtuli.
Yesterday, Steven said: “I do not know anything about this pregnancy. MaNtuli… is innocent of accusations written about her.”
He said he had met MaNtuli two years ago on being introduced to her by Transport Minister S’bu Ndebele.
Steven said Masunga and Thomo had been big friends. - The Mercury

For the love of God, people stay out of business that is not yours. Most of you commenting about the presidents life have unbearable lifes of your own. Nobody is perfect the same goes for the president and his wives. Can we atleast talk about how are we going to make South Africa a better place for all citizens in aide of our President's call of Batho Pele?

Does the kid have a shower growing out of his head? That would be irrefutable proof... By the way, there's no pedi word for "DNA test"

Never mind the allegations, cleansing ceremonies and all that jazz. The easiest way to shut everyone up or let the cat out of the bag is a paternity test which is made public because they are public figures. Bill Clinton was fired because of a B... job under the table, I wonder what will happen here?

Avani, Was your spelling mistake a freudian slip? A wether is a castrated ram-which our president most certainly is not. Anyhow, has anyone ever heard of DNA? Problem solved.

Avani - you and your ilk need to rapidly advance into the 21st century. It is only in backward societies that the pres or chief or leader is referred to the 'father' (sic) of the people. In modern societies nobody ever says that, be it the UK, US, France, Germany whatever. If anybody had to hint that say Sarkozy was the 'father' of the French people that person would be laughed at.
