A proud mother in Hong Kong described Monday how she called her newborn son Jazz after he made a speedy arrival into the world on the back seat of a Honda Jazz hatchback.
Briton Sarah O'Connor, 33, made it as far as the car park of the city's Prince of Wales Hospital when little Liran Jazz decided to make his appearance on March 8.
When it became clear that she wasn't going to make it into the building, O'Connor said, "about 15 people rushed out from the hospital. Two or three of them were holding up sheets around the car to try to protect my dignity."
As mother and child recovered in the maternity ward, father Paul, 34, said "In their marketing, Honda show how you can get a surf board or a washing machine in the back of a Jazz - but I haven't seen any adverts saying you can give birth in one too." - Sapa-dpa
