Juan de Acosta, Colombia - A gang who tried to burgle a convenience store had to flee empty-handed when their getaway donkey started braying.
The three Colombian criminals had stolen ten-year-old Xavi 12 hours before the raid. They then loaded him with rum, oil, rice, cans of tuna and sardines.
But the donkey let out a series of ‘hee-haws’ as he waited outside the shop in the tiny north Caribbean town of Juan de Acosta, alerting the police.
Shop owner Fabio Orozco said: “They came through the roof to rob. They took rum, rice, everything.”
The thieves fled, leaving Xavi in the hands of police. He was reunited with his owner 12 hours later and all the stolen items were returned. - Daily Mail
