London -

We binge-watch our favourite dramas, humblebrag about exciting experiences on Facebook and occasionally show off some side-boob, but hey, yolo.

These are some of the new words that have found their way into OxfordDictionaries.com.

Many of the new entries have evolved from our changing viewing habits - binge-watching refers to compulsively watching episode after episode of a television show - a practice made possible by on-demand streaming services such as Netflix.

Social media users are often guilty of humblebragging - boasting about something in a self- deprecating way.

Yolo - a favourite word with teenagers - is an acronym of the phrase “you only live once”, while side-boob refers to the display of the side part of the breast, often in a provocative way.

New words, meanings and phrases are added to OxfordDictionaries.com once editors have gathered enough independent evidence from a range of sources to be confident that they have widespread currency in English.

Other new entries include the verb vape, for inhaling the vapour from an e-cigarette - itself a new word added in 2012; adorbs, a shortened version of adorable; and neckbeard for the unsightly hair on a man’s neck, a sign of poor grooming. - Daily Mail
