Goodwood police arrested three men and recovered a stolen vehicle after stopping to help a mugging victim.
Accordingto Goodwood police spokesman Captain Waynne Theunis, a man stopped officers patrolling Voortrekker Road on Wednesday June 7, just before 1am, and told them three men had robbed him of two cellphones and cash.

The officers pursued the vehicle and pulled it over in Parow, where they searched it and recovered the cellphones and cash. They also discovered that the SUV had been stolen in Delft. The officers arrested three men, aged 22, 26 and 27, who appeared in the Goodwood Magistrate’s Court on charges of robbery and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
