11 in court for ATM bombings

Pietermaritzburg - Eleven men accused of a string of ATM bombings in KwaZulu-Natal appeared in the Pietermaritzburg Regional Court on Thursday.

They face three counts of murder and four counts of attempted murder, and may not be named pending an identification parade.

The men are charged with malicious damage to property, theft, and unlawful possession of firearms and robbery arising from the bombings and other alleged crimes committed in Howick and Utrecht, in KwaZulu-Natal.

They remain in custody and are expected to apply for bail on March 7. - Sapa
