Johannesburg - Thirteen candidates have been short-listed for vacancies in several courts, the Judicial Service Commission said on Thursday.
“On 26 August 2014, the JSC met and compiled a short-list of candidates to be interviewed at its sitting to be held in Cape Town on 6-10 October,” it said in a statement.
Four candidates would be competing for a judge's post in the Eastern Cape High Court while another four would be vying for the judge president post in the Free State High Court.
Two others were short-listed for a Labour Court judge position, and three for the Western Cape High Court.
In July, the JSC invited nominations to fill the vacancies.
