Cape Town - Police have arrested three suspects who had dagga and unlicensed firearms on them during an operation in Nyanga on Thursday, Western Cape police said on Friday.

The three suspects, aged 27, 30 and 34, were arrested at a house at Brown’s Farm in Nyanga, said Western Cape police spokesperson Constable Noloyiso Rwexana.

“Two firearms with 10 rounds, 38 grams of dagga with an estimated street value of R1,500 and three laptops were confiscated,” Rwexana said.

The search happened around 5pm on Thursday.

“The three suspects are expected to appear in the Athlone Magistrate’s Court on Friday on charges of possession of unlicensed firearms, possession of stolen property and possession of drugs,” he said.
