Five men who were found in possession of nine unpolished diamonds will appear in the Bellville Magistrate's Court on Friday, Western Cape police said.

Captain Frederick van Wyk said the three South Africans and the two Congolese men were arrested on Tuesday.

He said an illegal transaction that went sour between the men led to the arrest.

“It is believed that the three South African males robbed the two Congolese men of their diamonds and tried to flee in a vehicle,” he said. - Sapa
