Cape Town - Anti-crime activist Yusuf Abramjee has called for an investigation after he was allegedly blocked on Twitter by the South African Police Service (SAPS).
Abramjee called the SAPS's decision to block his Twitter account "childish and immature" and asked Police Minister Fikile Mbalula to urgently investigate the matter.
"I suspect I was blocked because I tweet incidents of crime constantly and hold police to account. If anything, the decision to block me will make me even more determined to continue exposing crime, corruption and police inefficiency," Abramjee said.
Abramjee and others also expressed their outrage on Twitter.
