Johannesburg - Allegations of assault against a Johannesburg actor were a “mere misunderstanding”, his lawyer said outside the Roodepoort Magistrate's Court on Monday.
“It was just a misunderstanding... no violence was involved,” said Lehlohonolo Adonisi.
He said his client and his partner had reached an out-of-court settlement about which he could not elaborate.
The actor was arrested on Saturday.
Police alleged that he slapped his girlfriend after an argument.
Adonisi said it was unfortunate that the matter had reached the courts, as his client was not a violent man and had not slapped his girlfriend.
Adonisi declined to say whether the charges had been withdrawn.
He said the couple would continue their relationship. - Sapa
