Johannesburg - Three Nigerians have been caught with drugs in Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni metro police said on Wednesday.
Inspector Kobeli Mokheseng said the arrests were made during routine patrols on Tuesday.
“A man in a (Volkswagen) Polo sedan was seen driving aimlessly in Jacaranda street in Kempton Park,” he said.
“(He) was approached and on searching him, metro police found 39 packets of Cat (the stimulant methcathinone) with the estimated street value of R6000.”
Mokheseng said the other two men were driving in a car, and when they were stopped to be searched, police found different types of drugs with an estimated street value of R35 000.
He said the three men, between the ages 39 and 40, were arrested and charged with possession and dealing in illicit substances.
They were all expected to appear soon in the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court.
