A man accused of sexually abusing minors was arrested in Knysna on Saturday, police said.

Members of the George family violence, child protection and sexual offences unit obtained a search warrant for the man's home after receiving a tip-off from a member of the public, said Captain Malcolm Pojie.

Three people, a man now aged 21 and two women, now aged 18, allege that they were raped over a period of time while they were still minors. The two women are believed to have been eight-years-old at the time.

The man's latest victim, also an eight-year-old girl, was allegedly raped on April 29.

All victims allege that they were lured into bushes in the George area by the man where he raped them. Some of the victims allege that they were also raped inside the man's Land Rover.

Police seized the man's vehicle, cameras, laptops and a video camera. He will appear in the George Magistrate's court on Monday. -Sapa
