Bloemfontein - A court application by Free State ANC members unhappy with the recently elected provincial party leadership was postponed in the Bloemfontein High Court on Thursday.
The application for a court order to stop re-elected Free State ANC chairman Ace Magashule and his provincial executive committee (PEC) from working was filed earlier this month.
The matter was put off to this week, because court papers were not signed against all respondents by then.
On Thursday, the matter was again postponed to 11 October, as the high court was in recess.
Six unhappy ANC members want an interdict against Magashule and his PEC.
It was reported the group wants the ANC, against whom papers were also filed, to dissolve the Free State PEC and to appoint an interim management structure until the end of the case.
They also want the party’s Free State conference, held at Parys on June 21, declared null and void, including decisions that were taken at the conference.
The ANC’s decision to accept and support the Free State conference elections of June this year should also be put aside.
Earlier, a similar application in the Bloemfontein High Court was dismissed.
