Pretoria - An assault case has been opened following another alleged road rage incident in Pretoria, Gauteng police said on Friday.

“There is a case of assault that has been opened that is currently being investigated by the Brooklyn police station,” Warrant Officer David Miller said.

“At this stage it is the early stages of the investigation.”

The alleged assault took place at the intersection of Lois Avenue and Atterbury Road.

Eyewitness News reported that the assault occurred on Wednesday at the intersection, where a 65-year-old man was allegedly punched in the face several times by another man.

The 65-year-old man reportedly bumped his car into the other man's car.

This follows Gregory Kleinhentz appearing in the Randburg Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, accused of a road rage assault that happened in Fourways, Johannesburg.

The attack happened on Witkoppen Road around 3pm on Saturday and was recorded by an eyewitness and posted on YouTube. - Sapa
