Durban - The Queensburgh Community Watch using BBM were able to give police details of hijacking suspects as they sped through the suburb on Thursday night.
In an interchange of fire, one suspect was killed and the other arrested after a hijacking in Woolwich Road, Bellair, said police spokesman Colonel Jay Naicker. Two firearms were recovered. Queensburgh Community Watch team leader Raymond Moore said residents used Black Berry Messenger (BBM) messages to give police details.
