Butterworth, Eastern Cape - A man was stabbed to death by his girlfriend's former lover in Butterworth, Eastern Cape police said on Friday.

Captain Jackson Manatha said the 30-year-old man visited his girlfriend on Thursday, when she told him to hide in a nearby shack.

When the jilted lover found out about the new boyfriend waiting in the shack, he went there and killed him.

“It is believed that the suspect refused to be dumped by his former girlfriend,” Manatha said. - Sapa
