Johannesburg -

Kaizer Chiefs boss Bobby Motaung and three others were arrested on Friday afternoon on fraud and graft charges relating to alleged tender corruption in the building of the Mbombela Stadium, reported City Press on Sunday.

Motaung, his co-director at Lefika Emerging Equity Herbert Theledi and CFO Chris Grip were to be tried for fraud in the Nelspruit Regional Court on April 22. Now they face additional charges.

They were released the same day on bail of R15 000 each, the newspaper reported. Grip's lawyer Michael Romanos, who was also arrested, was released on a warning

They would appear in court on Monday with the Mbombela municipality's former manager Jacob Dladla and Tebogo Kubeka, who face the same charges, said Hawks spokesman Caption Paul Ramoloko. - Sapa
